Fisherman Catches ‘baby shark’ in Rivers Community

A fisherman on Thursday morning, March 18, caught a 'baby shark' at Oyorokotor fishing settlement in Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers State. Oyorokotor is the same fishing settlement where the huge 'Blue Marlin' fish was caught earlier this month. Body of 8-year-old Boy Cut Out of Crocodile that Swallowed him Whole in Indonesia

The body of an 8-year-old boy has been pulled out of the stomach of a 26ft long crocodile after he was swallowed whole in Indonesia. The deceased, Dimas Mulkan Saputra was fishing in a river with his father when he strayed from the shore in East Kalimantan, Indonesia, on Wednesday morning, March 3. The crocodile then dragged Dimas away as the boy's father Subliansyah chased the reptile. A local search and rescue agency official known as Oktavianto said the child's father jumped to help him but the reptile escape. "He chased the crocodile and hit it with bare hands but he couldn't keep up'' said Oktavianto. The Borno State Government has earmarked N4 billion for the construction of roads into the Sambisa forest and some liberated border communities of the state. Commissioner for Works and Transport, Adamu Lawan, spoke yesterday in Maiduguri, while responding to Theatre Commander, Operation Lafiya Dole, Maj-Gen. Lucky Irabor demands for individuals, governments and corporate organisations to assist the military construct roads into Sambisa forest. He said the state government will support the Army in the reconstruction efforts.
