Man Utd won’t Win Title if Solskjaer Keeps Cavani – Roy Keane

Former Manchester United captain, Roy Keane, has said the club will not win the Premier League title next season if Edinson Cavani is their first-choice striker. Cavani has impressed during his time at Old Trafford and scored a brace as they beat Roma 6-2 in the Europa League in midweek. The Uruguay striker arrived on a 12-month contract, but there is the option to extend for a further year and many believe the striker has warranted an extension. However, Keane insists Cavani is past his best and United should consider other options in the transfer window ahead of next season. “I kind of hope in one sense they don’t keep him, because then they might look and think we don’t need to go and get another (striker). “He’s 34, if you’re hanging your hat on Cavani next...

Mbaka had last week asked President Muhammadu Buhari to resign forthwith or be impeached by the House of representatives. In response, the Presidency, through Garba Shehu, a senior special assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, accused the revered priest of making the call now because he was refused a contract by Buhari. The clergyman is yet to directly respond to the allegations made by the President’s spokesman. But some of his associates have challenged Garba Shehu to reply to the priest’s comments on Buhari and the insecurity in Nigeria. According to them, the alle...

Werner is underrated’ – Much-maligned Chelsea star plays ‘pivotal’ role in Tuchel’s set-up, says Cole

The former Blues defender has jumped to the defence of the German striker amid ongoing criticism of his lack of composure in front of goal Timo Werner plays a "pivotal" role in Thomas Tuchel's Chelsea set-up despite his lack of goals, according to Ashley Cole, who feels the striker is "underrated". Werner completed a £47 million ($65m) move to Chelsea from RB Leipzig last summer, having established himself as one of the most prolific forwards in Europe during his time at Red Bull Arena. The 25-year-old has been unable to live up to the same high standards during his first year at Stamford Bridge and has been criticised for his lack of composure in the final third, but Cole thinks his overall contribution to the Blues' cause is being overlooked.
