Barcelona coach, Xavi Hernandez, has told the club hierarchy to sign Chelsea captain, Cesar Azpilicueta on a free transfer next summer, according to ESPN. Azpilicueta has spent 10 seasons with the Blues, helping them to win two Premier League titles, the Champions League, the FA Cup and the Europa League on two occasions. The Spain international’s current contract expires at the end of the 2021/22 season and the Blues are yet to agree a new deal with the 32-year-old. Barcelona coach, Xavi identifies three Chelsea players to sign in January

Barcelona have identified three players from Chelsea for a loan move in January, according to Sports. The players are Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech and Callum Hudson-Odoi. Barcelona’s new boss, Xavi Hernandez will go for the Chelsea stars if the Catalan side are priced out of a move for Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling in January. Sterling is open to leaving Man City in January having fallen down the pecking order under Pep Guardiola. The England international is valued at £45 million and Barcelona are leading the race for his signature. That price could yet prove too high for the cash-strapped Barcelona, who have been restricted to free transfers and loan signings in 2021. Barcelona have identified the Chelsea trio as possible options and the La Liga side are hoping...

The report added that the Premier League giants will not be looking to secure a transfer fee for the 28-year-old by selling him in the January window, and are planning to keep the midfielder for the remainder of the season. Man United are also said to be already making plans for Pogba’s exit and will strengthen their midfield options next summer. LaLiga reveals two Barcelona players that caused Messi’s departure to PSG

LaLiga president, Javier Tebas, has said Lionel Messi could have stayed at Barcelona this season if the club did not sign Memphis Depay and Sergio Aguero. Messi now plays for Paris Saint-Germain in France, after joining the club on a free transfer in the summer. The 34-year-old left Nou Camp because Barca, whose gross debt is close to €1.4 billion, could not afford to renew his contract. Barca president Joan Laporta revealed that the club could have kept Messi, if they agreed to LaLiga’s offer to sell 10% of its business to CVC Capital Partners. That deal would have been worth around €270 million to Barca, but they refused to sign off the sale. Tebas has now explained how the deal would have allowed Barca to renew Messi’s contract. “I had dinner at Laporta’s house and...
