In this interview, he registered his displeasure with the level of hatred his people have received from the Benue State government. Excerpts: Benue state governor, Samuel Ortom, openly accused your association of trying to assassinate him. Is the allegation true? That allegation is unacceptable to us and we demand a thorough investigation to unravel the true situation. We have used all available media platforms to inform Nigerians that we were never behind the alleged attempted assassination of the governor, but he has continued to shout to the world that our people are behind the assassination attempt. The monarch said some Fulani persons who were arrested for kidnapping and handed over to the police were released in controversial circumstances. Alaafin said this in Oyo on Monday when the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abduraheed Akanbi, visited him in his palace. Oba Adeyemi said, “Nigeria is under a weak system. The system is no more working. Nigeria’s system of government is failing most especially on security. He said this in Ilorin as part of activities to mark his 70th birthday anniversary. Speaking yesterday during the official launch of the 2020/2021 annual livestock vaccination campaign at Galambi Cattle Ranch in Bauchi, Mohammed said no tribe or group was free from criminality, so labelling a particular tribe was unfair and would breed disunity in the country. There is nothing in the Quran that supports your plea. General Buhari has been killing your fellow Muslim Shiite. Speak the truth, for you will one day die and face God, who is neither a Christian or a Muslim, or a Northerner or Southerner, or a Fulani or Ogoni. In the Book of isaiah 54:15 the Holy Bible says “surely they shall gather but it shall not be of me: whomsoever gathers against thee shall be scattered for thy sake”. To add to that in the second Book of Timothy 1:7 it says “God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love and sound mind”. MURIC Reacts To Statement Allegedly Made By Miyetti Allah

The Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) rejects a statement credited to Miyetti Allah in which the group allegedly said that Fulani will rule forever. We call on Miyetti Allah to confirm or deny the alleged statement. We affirm that Nigeria belongs to no particular tribe and every ethnic group has a stake in the Nigerian project. Leadership is therefore not the birthright of any ethnicity. We appeal to Nigerians to ignore the statement allegedly made by Miyetti Allah and to allow the group to make clarifications. We call on leaders to avoid divisive, explosive and provocative statements. We strongly suspect that the alleged statement is either a product of fake news or that the real statement had been deliberately distorted or that Miyetti Allah leader has been inadvertently misquot...

FUNAM: Fulani Claims Ownership Of Land From Sokoto To The Atlantic

A little known Fulani group that calls itself the Fulani Nationality Movement, (Funam) may have stoked ethnic nationalism in Nigeria with its claims of Fulani ownership of the country and its giving notice of planned conquest of the entire territory. FUNAM, which made a similar provocative statement in 2018, following the Benue massacre by herdsmen, returned to its familiar territory in a statement that further sharpened the ethnic cleavages in Nigeria. While the statement was a reaction to recent killings in Plateau state by armed Fulani herdsmen, its claim of the existence of a Fulani Strike Force that coordinated what it called a retaliatory attack against Birom people in Barkin Ladi, in Plateau state may ignite an arms race by Nigeria’s various ethnic groups.
