The Chief of Defence Staff, General Lucky Irabor has reacted to the recent military takeover of government in some African countries. Pledging the loyalty of the military leadership to democratic rule in the country during an interview on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Friday January 14, the CDS also commended the efforts of military personnel ahead of the Armed Forces Remembrance Day. Irabor reacted to the rumors when he spoke during the Ministerial briefing organized by the Presidential Communications Team at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Thursday, October 14. Bandits allegedly broke into Five Flats at NDA before Fleeing

  The armed gang which carried out an attack at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) barracks in Afaka, Kaduna State, on Tuesday August 25, allegedly broke into five flats. Daily Trust reported that a memo it obtained revealed that the bandits operated successfully because troops did not respond to distress call on time. It read;   “The response time of troops to the crime scene on that day was slow as the bandits successfully broke into five different flats in the same block and swiftly withdrew before the intervention of troops."
