Fayemi Says Ekiti Has 3 More COVID-19 Cases

Ekiti has recorded three new cases of COVID-19, Gov. Kayode Fayemi said. The governor broke the news in a tweet on Saturday night, warning that residents needed to be more cautious about the pandemic. ” We got information from NCDC tonight that three more persons tested positive to COVID-19 virus ” Two are contacts of the medical doctor still in our care, and another person who sneaked into the state before he was quarantined ” This underscores the need for extra vigilance,” he tweeted. Fayemi Reacts to Supreme Court Decision on his Election

Gov. Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State says he has no grudge against his predecessor, Chief Segun Oni, for challenging his election victory in court. Fayemi spoke in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday while reacting to his victory at the Supreme Court in the eligibility suit filed by Oni, NAN reports. The governor, who bared his mind after swearing-in the new Head of Service, Mr Ayodele Ajayi, said what bothered him, however, was the distractions. Fayemi Revokes Shop Allocations, Orders Refund

Gov. Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti on Thursday ordered the immediate cancellation of the allocation of over 800 shops at the multi-billion naira new Oja Oba Market in Ado Ekiti. The cancellation of the shop allocations was conveyed via a statement in Ado-Ekiti by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr Olayinka Oyebode, which said that the action followed Fayemi’s inspection of the facilities of the market earlier in the week.
