Government Agencies Sending Us Threat Messages To End Strike – Resident Doctors

The National Association of Resident Doctors has raised the alarm that it is being threatened by some government agencies to call off its ongoing strike. This comes four days into the nationwide strike which according to the association is to protest against the failure of the Federal Government to honour their agreements, including the payment of salary arrears and indemnity for their colleagues who died in the line of COVID-19 duty. Reps Move To Criminalise Secret Recruitment By Government Agencies

The House of Representatives is considering outlawing secret recruitments by ministries, departments and agencies of the Federal Government. With this move, any recruitment by any MDA without publishing the vacancy will become illegal and attract a fine. This is being proposed in the Prohibition of Secret Recruitment in the Federal Civil Service Bill 2020 sponsored by Mr Teejay Yusuf. Kaduna CAN Tells Members to Suspend Church Activities Over Coronavirus

Members of the Kaduna Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) have been directed to suspend church activities to curb the spread of coronavirus in the state. In a statement released by the state chairman Reverend Joseph Hayab, churches holding services were also directed to shorten the duration, enlighten church members about the virus and some of the preventive measures they should adopt in order not to contract the disease, and also provide hand sanitizers at the entrance of the church so that those coming for service will apply before going into the church.
