AFCON 2022: CAF Announces Details for Tournament with 23 Teams Confirmed

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced that next year’s Africa Cup of Nations, will be held in Cameroon from January 9 to February 6. A virtual executive committee meeting chaired by CAFS’s recently elected president Patrice Motsepe, also decided that a draw to divide the 24 qualifiers into six groups will be held on June 25. A total of 23 teams have confirmed their places at the continental showpiece. The Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Saturday, confirmed that 17 countries have qualified for the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations, with one round of qualifying fixtures left. RwandAir, the national carrier, is set to expand its wings to Abuja in Nigeria and Cape Town in South Africa. According to airline officials, RwandAir will operate four weekly flights from Kigali to Cape Town with a stopover in Harare, Zimbabwe.
