Boko Haram insurgents on Sunday April 25, attacked Mainok community in Borno state. Mainok which is the headquarters of the Kaga Local Government Area, is located on the Maiduguri – Damaturu Highway and is 55 kilometres away from Maiduguri, the state capital. Eyewitnesses told Daily Trust that houses were set on fire by the insurgents who also broke into shops.  It was also learnt that the insurgents were seen in a convoy of between 15 and 20 vehicles near Mainok town on Sunday afternoon.
