Oil Vandals Escape From NSCDC Custody in Kogi

Some suspected oil vandals who were arrested for pipeline vandalism, have reportedly escaped from the custody of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps( NSCDC) in Kogi state. The suspects identified as Hassan Sani, Auwal Mohamed, Mohamed Mustapha , Mudashiru Abubakar and Ibrahim Rabiu were arrested by the anti-vandals unit of the corps on Thursday March 11, while ferrying products siphoned from the Niger Delta region to the north. Upon interrogation, they reportedly confessed that the products which were in two trucks were illegally scooped from a pipeline at a forest in one of the oil-rich states. Armed bandits Kill Catholic Lector,Six Others in Kaduna

Armed bandits have killed seven persons including a Catholic lector in Igabi and Kajuru local government areas of Kaduna State. The State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, who confirmed the incidents in a statement on Sunday February 28, said bandits attacked Kajinjiri village in Igabi and killed two residents identified as Ibrahim Rabi'u and Abdulrahman Mohammad. One person, Kamal Murtala, sustained gunshot injuries, and is receiving treatment at a nearby facility. Similarly, in Rago village also of Igabi local government area, bandits killed two locals identified as Alhaji Ibrahim Iro and Muhammadu Rabiu.
