Five officers killed as hoodlums attack another police station in Imo

Five police officers have been confirmed dead after hoodlums attacked the Okigwe South Area command on Monday April 26. Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the state police command, SP Orlando Ikeokwu, said one of the officers is yet to be accounted for. He added that the command's building wasn't razed. The attack comes days weeks after hoodlums stormed the state headquarters as well as the state's correctional center and released several inmates.

The Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Edo Command, says it foiled a jailbreak attempt by inmates at the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) facility, Ubiaja, Esan South East Local Government Area on Wednesday, April 14. 101 Inmates in Military Prison test Positive for Coronavirus in DR Congo

The Democratic Republic of Congo's health ministry has announced that 101 inmates have tested positive for Coronavirus in the N'dolo military prison in Kinshasa. “Fifty-six (additional) people in Ndolo military prison were confirmed with COVID-19” on Saturday, while forty-three cases had been diagnosed at the prison on Thursday and Friday," a statement said. According to the authorities, only three infected inmates have been admitted to a hospital outside the facility. Six inmates are under close supervision in the prison while the rest have mild symptoms. It was also revealed that three wings of the prison were disinfected on Monday.
