In a bid to stem the tide of insecurity in the country, over two thousand pastors have embarked on fasting and prayers in Ebonyi State for Governor David Umahi. The one-week fasting and prayers is organized by the Ebonyi State Government in conjunction with the Christian Association of Nigeria, Ebonyi State Chapter, following the insecurity ravaging the country. The clergymen offered fervent prayers to God to arrest every criminal behind the insecurity in every part of the country. They also asked God to give the leadership of the country the wisdom to tackle the challenges of insecurity.
