‘It will cause more suffering’- Ohanaeze Worldwide kicks against IPOB’s sit-at-home order

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, a socio-cultural association, has kicked against the sit-at-home order issued by the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB to protest the arrest and detention of their leader, Nnamdi Kanu. Kanu was arrested in Kenya on June 27 and extradited to Nigeria on June 29 and has been in DSS custody since then. Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor, lawyer of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Monday, has said his client may not get fair hearing in his trail, adding that he has been subjected to mental torture in the custody of the Department of State Services, DSS. Nnamdi Kanu to blame for his own arrest, he shouldn’t have gone to Kenya – Omokri

Reno Omokri, an ex-aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, has blamed Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, for his recent arrest. Omokri berated the IPOB leader for travelling to Kenya, a country, according to him, that is notorious for body-snatching. Speaking in an interview with Reuben Abati, Omokri suggested that Kanu should have learned one or two lessons from him (Omokri) having successfully stayed away from Nigeria since 2015 when Muhammadu Buhari became President knowing that the government will be happy to arrest him. The former presidential aide, therefore, absolved Buhari of any blame for Nnamdi Kanu’s arrest because, according to him, the President had never hidden his tendencies towards achieving it.

In the extremely graphic video, the man, whose hands are tied to a piece of wood, is seen sitting on the sandy floor. His penis had been mutilated and blood from his severed male member is seen seeping into the sand. A male voice is heard revealing what led to the man being subjected to such inhumane torture. In the tweets which he made on June 2, Kanu had threatened government officials and said “any army they send to #Biafraland will die there.
