This comes just days after India's Supreme Court struck down a controversial order that cleared a man of sexual assault of a 12-year-old girl because "there was no skin-to-skin contact" with the victim. Kano has two million drug addicts – NDLEA chair, Buba Marwa

Chairman of the National Drug Law and Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brig.-Gen. Buba Marwa (rtd.), has revealed that Kano State has about two million drug addicts, representing a 16 per cent prevalence. Marwa made the disclosure when he paid a courtesy visit to Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje, NAN reports. According to him, the drug abuse prevalence is 16 per cent; that is, in every six persons, one is a drug addict and they are between the ages of 15 and 64 years. She was caught last September while smuggling 76 pellets of cocaine to Medina, Saudi Arabia. In his judgment, Quadri said the sentence would serve as a deterrent to others. Besides, he said the hard labour was added to the sentence because the convict failed to reveal the identity of her sponsors.
