Zambia’s President-elect lauds Commonwealth’s role in peaceful election

President of the Republic of Zambia, Hakainde Hichilema, has attributed peaceful polls to roles played by the Commonwealth under the leadership of its Secretary-General, Patricia Scotland. A 60-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly raping a 20-year-old mentally challenged woman in Gituntu, Tharaka Nithi County, Kenya on Monday, May 17. Witnesses said the victim was seen walking out of the suspect’s homestead crying and when asked what had happened, she said that the old man had tricked her into his house and raped her.
