End SARS: Nigerian govt receives final reports from 11 states

The Federal Government says 11 out of 28 states have submitted their respective final reports of the Judicial Panel of Inquiry into the 2020 EndSARS protest and its aftermath. The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, disclosed this on Wednesday in Abuja at a media briefing on the first anniversary of the EndSARS protest and the purported Lekki tollgate massacre. Mohammed said the states which had submitted the report to the National Economic Council (NEC) were Abia, Ekiti, Enugu, Gombe, Kwara, Nasarawa, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Plateau, and Rivers. #EndSARS: Medical Doctor tells Lagos Judicial Panel how his Hospital Treated Patients with Gunshot Wounds from Lekki Tollgate

The Lagos State judicial panel on the October 20, 2020 gunshot incident at the Lekki tollgate and the restitution for victims of SARS-related abuses, resumed sitting on Saturday, May 8. At the resumed sitting, a medical doctor with the Grandville Medical Center in Lagos, Dr Aromolafe Ayobami, testified to having treated a total number of 15 patients referred from other hospitals with injuries ranging from gunshots to superficial wounds. The patients were allegedly injured from the gunshot incident that took place during the EndSARS protest at the Lekki tollgate on the night of October 20. Lagos Judicial Panel Resumes Sitting Without Rinuola and Adegboruwa

The Lagos State Judicial Panel on Restitution for victims of SARS and other related matters resumed its sitting today without two of its members, Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Ebunolu Adegboruwa and youth representative on the panel, Rinuola Oduala. Recall that while Adegboruwa said last weekend that he was considering his continued participation at the panel following the dehumanisation of the protesters by security operatives on Saturday February 13, Rinuola announced that she will be quitting the panel which gave a nod to the "reopening of Lekki toll gate when justice is yet to be served". With the absence of the two, seven other members of the panel sat to listen to 10 petitions listed for hearing today February 16.
