Auba prefers Euro move amid Saudi interest

Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang would prefer a move to a European club if he leaves the club in this transfer window. There are a host of European clubs interested in the Gabon international, including Paris Saint-Germain, Marseille, Juventus, AC Milan and Sevilla, with Arsenal open to offers. But Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr are the only side to have made a concrete offer for Aubameyang at this stage. They have asked to take the former Arsenal captain on loan, with an obligation to buy. Aubameyang has 18 months left on his Arsenal contract and an exit in this transfer window would represent a saving of around £25m in wages for the Gunners. Aubameyang has not featured for Arteta's side since the club's 2-1 defeat to Everton in the Premier League on December 6 afte...

The central midfielder is out of contract in the summer, and Gladbach are willing to sell him in January to secure some funds for the player. However, Zakaria is wanted by a host of clubs, including Liverpool, Barcelona, Juventus, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich. According to the Daily Mirror, United are tracking his availability, but would have to convince him to make the move to Old Trafford over the other top teams also vying for his signature. However, Barca are close to landing Morata this month with the transfer “95% complete”. It is believed “a total agreement has already been reached with Juventus for the player’s loan for the next six months, as well as an agreement with Atletico to execute a future purchase option.” The fact that Atletico still have outstanding money from Barca for the purchase of Antoine Griezmann would also play a part in the transfer, ...

Juve signed the 36-year-old hoping to land the Champions League trophy again having missed out in the 2017 final. However, while Ronaldo won Serie A two times with Juve, the Turin club drifted further from challenging for Europe’s top prize and finished fourth in the league last season before the Portugal captain left for Manchester United. Why Chelsea goal against Juventus wasn’t handball

Chelsea’s first goal against Juventus in Tuesday’s Champions League tie at Stamford Bridge was not handball because of this season’s new handball rules. During Chelsea’s clash with Juventus, the ball hit Antonio Rudiger on the arm as an assist for Trevor Chalobah. Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot flicked the ball onto Rudiger’s arm from point-blank range. Rudiger also had his arm across his chest, so arguably, if the ball had not struck him on the hand, it would have hit his torso anyway. Recall that the new rule has been designed to not penalise attackers if they accidentally commit a handball in the build-up to a goal. The rule was introduced by the International Football Association Board (IFAB) back in March. Last season, the rules stated that any touch of the arm ...
