LASTMA Official Left With Injuries After Being Attacked By Hoodlums (Graphic)

An officer of Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) on Sunday was attacked by pedestrian touts at Jakande area in Lekki. According to an eyewitness, the officer was controlling traffic while the man sitting wanted to cross the road. It was gathered that the pedestrian approached the officer to stop the vehicles for him to cross the road, a request which was blatantly objected. The officer whose name is yet to be identified as at press time asked the man to use pedestrian bridge not too far from the spot, Igbere TV learnt. FSARS officer who shot LASTMA official dead in Lagos, dies after being beaten by a mob for shooting the LASTMA official

Police Inspector Olukunle Olonade attached to FSARS Ikeja who was alleged to have shot a LASTMA official, Rotimi Adeyemi, dead in the Iyana Ipaja area of Lagos state yesterday November 28th, has died. He died shortly after arriving at the hospital. He had been beaten by a mob after he shot Adeyemi. Danfo Driver Jailed For Stabbing LASTMA Official

A commercial bus driver, Kenneth Anyanwu, has been sentenced to one year imprisonment by a Lagos State Mobile Court sitting in Oshodi, for stabbing a Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), official, Olanrewaju Yusuf. . Magistrate F.O. Ikobayo convicted Anyanwu following his plea of guilty to a two-count charge of assault and breach of peace. She sentenced him to one year imprisonment or a fine of N50,000. . The magistrate also ordered the convict to pay N80,000 for Yusuf’s medical bills. Anyanwu committed the offence on April 26, on Ikorodu Road near Palm Grove Bus Stop, inward Onipanu. A policeman and an official of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority created a scene on Wednesday at the Lekki Phase 1 end of the Lekki-Epe Expressway when they engaged each other in a public fight.
