Former Ondo Varsity Lecturer Found Dead inside his car

A former lecturer in the Department of Earth Sciences, Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba (AAUA) Akoko, Dr Olatunde Adegbuyi, has been found dead inside his car. A source, who spoke to The Nation, said the former lecturer was found dead by some persons outside the university premises on Tuesday, April 6. The deceased's car was found parked along Permanent sites street in Akungba, Akoko South West Local Government Area of Ondo State. The spokesman for the university, Victor Akinpelumi, who confirmed the death, said the institution sympathised with the family.

Dr. Ukenna was a lecturer in the Department of Business Management at the Covenant University before he was arrested for “forcefully having unlawful carnal knowledge of the student.” It was earlier reported that he was nabbed on March 11, after a complaint was lodged at Ota Area Command by the parents of the victim. Covenant university sacks lecturer arrested for allegedly raping teenage student in his office

Kidnapped UNIPORT lecturer regains freedom

Gunmen Abduct Traditional Ruler, Four Boat Passengers in Rivers

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted the traditional ruler of Ikuru town in Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers State, HRM Aarom Ikuru. The palace spokesperson, Mr Maurice Ikuru, who confirmed the incident on Monday morning, February 22, said the monarch was kidnapped at about 8:30 to 9pm on Sunday, February 21. Gunmen Abduct UNIPORT Lecturer

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have reportedly abducted a lecturer with the Linguistics and Communications Department of the University of Port Harcourt, Dr. Jones Ajuwu. It was gathered the lecturer was abducted at gunpoint on Sunday evening, February 21, in Bori on his way back from an event in Andoni Local Government Area. Police arrest lecturer’s murder suspect

POLICE in Plateau State have confirmed the killing of Dr Nandi Drenkat, a lecturer with the University of Jos, by gunmen. Commissioner of police Edward Egbuka confirmed the incident at a news briefing on Sunday in Jos, the state capital. Gunmen stormed the residence of the deceased in the early hours of Saturday, shot him and kidnapped his six-year-old daughter. Egbuka said the police mobilised to the scene and engaged the criminals in a gun duel and arrested one of them. He also confirmed that the kidnapped daughter of the deceased was also rescued from the abductors. He said that the manhunt for other fleeing members of the gang continued, promising that the command would not rest on its oars until they are arrested.

Court Grants N200k Bail To Lecturer Accused Of Sexual Harassment

A Kano Chief Magistrate Court has granted bail to a lecturer standing trial over alleged sexual harassment of his female student. The 36-year-old lecturer, Ali Shehu, was granted N200,000 bail with two reliable sureties in like sum by Chief Magistrate Muhammad Idris. He said one of the sureties must be a Senior Lecturer of Kano State School of Technology and the second shall be the village head of where the accused person resides. “Both the accused and sureties shall deposit two recent passport photographs,’’ he ordered on Tuesday. Two days after going missing, South African female lecturer Sakina Grimwood is found dead

Sakina Grimwood, a lecturer at Varsity College in Cape Town, South Africa has been found dead two days after she went missing. Grimwood's body was discovered at the bottom of a Gorge on Table Mountain on Friday afternoon. She was last seen leaving Newlands home on Wednesday at 13:30. Her father, Muhdni Grimwood, told Netwerk24 foul play could not be ruled out yet, and the family found it hard to deal with their death. Speaking about her death, her sister, Zahira, said they were "devastated" because of Grimwood's "the darling of the family". Missing person's group the Pink Ladies announced Grimwood's death on its Facebook page on Sunday, which saw scores of condolences pouring in for her.

The victims were allegedly killed when some persons believed to be Jukun militias invaded the university campus on Tuesday afternoon.
