Man Utd facing huge bill when Solskjaer’s coaches leave

Manchester United are facing to pay millions in compensation to outgoing coaches after giving Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s staff new three-year contracts just weeks ago. Solskjaer was fired on Sunday morning following a 4-1 loss at Watford. His dismissal came less than four months after he signed a new deal at Old Trafford until 2024. United have had to pay Solskjaer £7.5m for sacking him with such a long period left on his contract and it looks like they will be hit with another hefty bill. The Daily Mail reports that assistant boss, Mike Phelan signed a new contract in October and coaches Michael Carrick, Kieran McKenna and Richard Hartis all followed suit shortly after. All four men were reportedly given three-year deals. Carrick is now in temporary charge of the first tea...

Rio Ferdinand names top star that must be dropped from Man Utd squad immediately

Manchester  United legend Rio Ferdinand has admitted that captain Harry Maguire needs to be ‘taken out of the firing line.’ Following the sack of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as Man United boss, Ferdinand said that Maguire requires a break having suffered a difficult start to the season. The England defender enjoyed a fine summer with the national team in their run to the Euro 2020 final, but has not been able to reproduce those strong performances for United. Maguire was criticised heavily after the humiliating defeats to Aston Villa, Leicester City, Liverpool and Manchester City and was sent off in the second half of Saturday’s 4-1 defeat to Watford. Solskjaer was sacked barely 24 hours after the loss to Watford and Michael Carrick has been given the role of acting manager. Ferd...

Solskjaer Speaks on Man Utd Sacking him after 2-0 Defeat to Man City

Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has insisted he is not living on borrowed time at the club, following a 2-0 loss to Manchester City on Saturday. An Eric Bailly own goal and Bernardo Silva goal condemned the Red Devils to their second consecutive defeat at Old Trafford. The last time United played at home, they were hammered 5-0 by Liverpool. However, Solskjaer avoided the sack, before beating Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 and drawing 2-2 with Atalanta. Following the latest setback, Solskjaer has vowed to bounce back. When asked if he thinks he’s living on borrowed time, Solskjaer said: “No I don’t. I have good communication with the club all the time which is up front and honest. “I work for Man United, I want the best for Man United. As long as I...

Manchester United midfielder, Paul Pogba, ‘snubbed’ his manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, in the club’s dressing room after being left out of the Red Devils’ starting XI in their embarrassing 5-0 loss to Liverpool last weekend. Pogba did not start the Premier League clash on Sunday at Old Trafford after being dropped by Solskjaer as three goals from Mohamed Salah and a strike each from Naby Keita and Diogo Jota gave Jurgen Klopp’s side all three points against Man United. The France international was sent off in the second half of the encounter when he came off the bench following a reckless tackle on Keita. According to The Sun, Pogba apologised to his teammates for his red card against Liverpool, though did not say anything to Solskjaer after the defeat. Pogba’s reported snub ...

Former heavyweight boxing champion, Anthony Joshua is changing trainers for the Oleksandr Usyk rematch, according to US coach Ronnie Shields. AJ is currently in America following his loss to the Ukrainian in September, and has been spotted in various gyms during his trip. At the end of the Usyk fight, many pundits questioned his tactical approach as he attempted to outbox the smaller technical Usyk, rather than use his size and strength advantages. Last week, AJ posted Snapchats showing himself visiting Joshua Buatsi in Virgil Hunter’s gym in Hayward, California. On Sunday, October 17, a video emerged showing Joshua hanging out with Canelo Alvarez in Eddy Reynoso’s gym in San Diego, California. Representing the Premier League, Adam Lewis QC said it was unnecessary to hold both arbitration and CAT hearings simultaneously, as a victory in the arbitration case would make the CAT case unnecessary, while defeat would render it impossible. Mike Ashley is claiming for damages and losses through CAT after insisting the Saudi-backed takeover was rejected by the Premier League last year. The Premier League maintains they never rejected the takeover and are awaiting further information from the consortium as to whether they can prove a clear ...

Ole Explains Ronaldo, Fernandes subs after Man Utd defeat

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has explained why he substituted Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes during Manchester United's loss to Young Boys, adding his side will learn from the defeat. With the game level at 1-1, the United manager replaced the Portuguese pair with Nemanja Matic and Jesse Lingard in the 72nd minute. Fernandes had assisted Ronaldo's opener in the first half, with the visitors needing a goal in Bern. It was a decision that puzzled Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson, who said on Soccer Special: "Young Boys were petrified of Ronaldo but Lingard plays how l used to play - he will come back and get the ball, and that's not helping because you are down to 10 men already. "You want the ball going the other way because if the ball goes the other way then your opponents can sq...
