Man Utd told to avoid Conte if Solskjaer is sacked after Aston Villa defeat

Nollywood actress, Uche Jombo, has called on Manchester United to sack manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, following a 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa on Saturday. Kortney Hause’s header proved to be the winner at Old Trafford in the early kick-off. United however had the chance to get a share of the points, but Bruno Fernandes blasted a late penalty over the bar. It is the second successive defeat for Solskjaer this week, after they were dumped out of the Carabao Cup in midweek by West Ham. Jombo wants the club to sack the Norwegian, but asked them to avoid former Chelsea and Inter Milan boss, Antonio Conte. She tweeted: “I think it’s time for Ole to leave. “But who will replace him? Nobody should mention Conte here.”

Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has blamed Aston Villa players for Bruno Fernandes missing a late penalty in Saturday’s early kick-off. The Red Devils were losing 1-0 thanks to Kortney Hause’s header, when the spot kick was awarded. Referee Mike Dean pointed to the spot following Hause’s handball in the area. With Cristiano Ronaldo still on the pitch, Bruno Fernandes placed the ball and blasted it over, to ensure Villa left with maximum points. When asked about the incident after the game, Solskjaer said: “First of all, the way they (Aston Villa players) get round the penalty spot and Bruno, that is not to my liking. “Bruno is always good from those positions, but unfortunately he missed this one.”
