NAFDAC Approves Pfizer-Biotech COVID-19 Vaccine For Use In Nigeria

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, on Friday approved the use of Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine in Nigeria. This is coming few months after it gave authorisation for the use of the Oxford-Astrazeneca jabs in the country. Announcing this at a press conference in Lagos, the Director-General of NAFDAC, Mojisola Adeyeye explained that the pfizer-Bio Tech vaccine was for emergency use only. She added that the vaccine can now be stored between -15 to-25 equivalent to freezer temperature.

Strange Disease In Kano Caused By Dansami Poisoning – NAFDAC

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) says the strange illness in Kano is caused by food poisoning. Mojisola Adeyeye, NAFDAC director-general, confirmed this in an interview with Channels Television on Wednesday. TheCable had reported how the outbreak of a strange infection had led to the death of two persons and hospitalisation of 183 others in the state. As of the time of reporting, the cause of the illness was only suspected to be food poisoning. Do Not Use Sniper For Food – NAFDAC DG, Mojisola Adeyeye

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, on Sunday, warned Nigerians against the use of Sniper and other brands of “Dichlorvos” (DDVP) as food preservatives. The Director-General of NAFDAC, Professor Mojisola Adeyeye, who gave the warning, said the continuous misuse and misapplication of Sniper and other brands of Dichlorvos by the general public, especially grain merchants, beans aggregators and dried fish sellers, could lead to health implications and even death. It Costs Two Million Naira To Destroy A Container Of Tramadol – Mojisola Adeyeye

“I Inherited A Debt Of N3.2bn in 2017” – NAFDAC DG, Mojisola Adeyeye

Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, the Director-General of the National Agency for Foods and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC), said on Tuesday that she inherited a debt of N3.2 billion when she assumed office in November 2017.
