The Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Saturday, mourned the death of the late former Sole Administrator of Ekiti, retired Brig.-Gen Adetunji Olurin. The war against criminality in Lagos State has gone a notch higher as the State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu personally arrested a gang of suspected criminals, which specialises in harassing motorists and road users in traffic. The gang of suspected criminals met their waterloo Monday morning, July 12, while attempting to unleash terror on a motorist around Ojota in-bound Alausa. The Court of Appeal in Lagos on Saturday dismissed an appeal filed by the Labour Party challenging the judgment of the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal which affirmed the election of Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu as the Governor of Lagos State. According to a statement by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr Gboyega Akosile, the appeal court, in a unanimous decision, held that the appeal lodged by Labour Party lacked merit.
