Nigerian military finally confirms death of ISWAP leader, Abu Musab Al-Barnawi

The Nigerian military has finally confirmed the death of vicious Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), Abu Musab Al-Barnawi. LIB reported in September that Al-Barnawi who is the son of Boko Haram founder, Mohammed Yusuf who was also killed by security forces in 2009, was killed in Borno state. Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Lucky Irabor confirmed his death on Thursday October 14, during the ministerial briefing organised by the presidential communications team at the Presidential Villa , Abuja. NAFDAC warns against consumption of Able Groupe’s infant formulas

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has warned Nigerians to stop consuming and distributing infant formulas manufactured by Able Groupe. The formulas were said to have insufficient iron levels and did not meet up other requirements of the US Food and Drug Administration (US-FDA). NAFDAC Director-General, Prof. Moji Adeyeye, disclosed that the agency received the information from the US-FDA. A US-based company, Able Groupe’s recalled products sold under the brand names HiPP, Holle, Bioland and Kendamil. The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has arrested a suspected Nigerian drug trafficker during a raid in Goa, India, an official said on Tuesday, September 7. The Nigerian identified as David Chibuike Chisom alias Eze Chukwebuka Joshua, was nabbed near a hotel in Arpora on Calangute-Mapusa Road in North Goa on Monday night. Popular Nigerian private security expert, Dr Ona Ekhomu has died at the age of 66. Ekhomu who was the President of Association of Industrial Security and Safety Operators of Nigeria (AISSON), died on Monday night, August 9, after weeks of illness.
