59 new cases of Coronavirus recorded in Nigeria

59 new cases of Coronavirus were recorded in Nigeria on Saturday November 7, as confirmed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).   A breakdown of the new cases is as follows; Kaduna-28, Rivers-9, Ogun-8, Ondo-8, Kano-2, Niger-2, Kwara-1, Plateau-1.   There are now 63,790 confirmed cases of Coronavirus in the country and 1,154 deaths have been recorded. 59,884 patients who recovered from the disease have also been discharged.

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said the average price of some selected food items in the country decreased in November. Tomatoes NBS disclosed this on Friday in its November “Selected Food Price Watch’’ report released in Abuja. Police have arrested a Tennessee mother after her 16-month-old son was brutally raped by his own father earlier in November. Danielle Bowen, 22, was taken into custody on Monday and charged with multiple counts of child neglect and failure to seek medical attention for her severely injured son. A day before Bowen's arrest,  her baby's father, Simon Dean Porter,  33, was arrested in Alabama and charged with child rape.     According to the local District Attorney, Brent Cooper, Danielle is being charged because she never took the baby to the hospital. Annual inflation in Nigeria slowed for the tenth month in a row in November, easing to 15.90 percent, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said on Monday in a report.
