Police Parade ‘Scorpion’ Awawa Boys Cult Leader In Lagos

Leader of the dreaded cult group in Lagos, Awawa Boys, Tobi Akinbayo aka Scorpion Was arrested on Friday and paraded at Officers Mess, GRA Ikeja on Monday, September 23. The group strongholds are Agege, Dopemu, Elere, Ijaye-Ojokoro, Alakuko, Pen-Cinema, Abattoir, Iju and Oko-Oba. The Lagos State police command had in September arrested Toby, alias Scorpion, whom it described as a “deadly leader” of the Awawa Boys cult group that has been terrorising the Agege area of the state. The police said it had long declared Scorpion wanted for alleged acts of murder, robbery and violent cult-related vices. Governor Ambode Approves Sale Of LAKE Rice

The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, has approved the sales of LAKE Rice for the Yuletide season. A release signed by Assistant Director, Public Affairs, Tunbosun Ogunbanwo, quoted the the Lagos State Commissioner for Agriculture, Mr. Oluwatoyin Suarau, as disclosing this in his office on Thursday. He assured residents that the government would continue to ensure adequate production and fair distribution of the rice across the state. Commercial Bus Driver Charged With Punching Off Passenger’s Teeth

A 35-year-old driver, Jimoh Rafiu, who allegedly punched off his passenger’s teeth, was on Wednesday hauled up in an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court, Lagos. Rafiu, who resides at No. 5, Olaleye St., Oko-Oba, Agege, a Lagos suburb, is facing a two-count charge of bordering on assault. The Prosecutor, Insp. Victor Eruada, told court that the accused committed the offences on Sept. 14 at Salolo Bus Stop on Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway, Lagos.
