Seyi Makinde reacts to reports a car in his convoy ran a child over

Oyo State Governor,  Seyi Makinde, has reacted to a report that one of the cars in his convoy ran a child over. He explained that an investigation has been carried out and it revealed that the child was knocked over by a car that was not part of his convoy. He, however, sympathised with the parents of the child. He tweeted: "I received with deep concern the report that my convoy ran over a child on our way to Ogbomoso, earlier today. Seyi Makinde Visits Obasanjo, Says AGF Lacks Power To Declare Amotekun Illegal

Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has said the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), lacks the power to declare the South West security outfit, Operation Amotekun, as illegal. Makinde said though the AGF may interpret and advise the President if there are legal issues, he is not empowered to make his own laws.
