  One of the abducted children of Katsina village head has regained freedom after escaping from the bandits’ den. LIB had reported that bandits abducted four children of Alhaji Hamza Umar, the village head of Sabuwar Kasa in Kafur Local Government Area of Katsina State on Sunday, September 5, 2021. A family member, Abubakar Nasarawa confirmed the latest development in a statement on Facebook on Thursday September 23. No more amnesty for bandits – Governor Matawalle

Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara state has said that the amnesty offer for bandits have been taken off the table as they rejected it before now. Matawalle who spoke in Gusau, Zamfara state capital said bandits are now seeking for dialogue following the ongoing offensive carried out by the military in the state. Biola Okoya, daughter of billionaire businessman, Rasaq Okoya, on Thursday, June 17, paid a visit to the graveside of her son, Ayodeji Akinwande Modupe-Johnson, to mark his first death anniversary. Ayodeji died on Friday, June 12, 2020, after a brief illness. He was 24 years old. The distraught mum recounted how he was always praying to God to make everyone wake up alive the next day, She prayed for his soul to continue to rest in peace. The Zamfara state government has said that repentant bandits have surrendered 203 sophisticated firearm, under the state government peace accord. The state Commissioner for Security and Home Affairs, Garba Dauran, made this known to newsmen in Gusau on Thursday, May 27. According to Dauran, 2,566 live ammunition, 64 magazines, two handcuffs and 887 locally fabricated Dane guns have been surrendered by the bandits since the government peace accord started on February 7. A video of three pilot officers having a good time on a yacht has been shared online following the deaths of all three in plane crashes. According to reports, the man on the left and the one of the right in the video, were among the 7 officers that crashed on Feb 21, 2021, in Abuja. The one in the middle, Flt Lt AA Olufade, passed on yesterday, May 21, when a military aircraft crashed at the Kaduna Airport.
