Immediate past Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Tukur Buratai (Rtd) has reacted to the People's Democratic Party (PDP) kicking against his nomination as a non-career ambassador. Recall that the PDP had described the nomination as a plot to shield the ex-Service Chiefs from investigation over the “killing of innocent Nigerians and crimes against humanity” under their leadership. Patience Jonathan Visits Aisha Buhari

Former First Lady, Patience Jonathan on Monday February 10 visited her successor Aisha Buhari, at the state house in Abuja. Aisha Buhari who tweeted about the visit, said they discussed greater involvement of women in politics and at lower level of governance. The First Lady also revealed that they discussed about the girl child education, Patience Jonathan's pet project "women for change”, as well as her predecessor's experience during her husband, Goodluck Jonathan's administration. Aisha added that she listened to Patience Jonathan's perspectives on issues affecting women and children in the society.
