Doctors were so concerned about Trump’s Covid-19 condition they considered putting him on a ventilator – New report claims

A new report by the New York times claims former US President Donald Trump's condition after testing positive for Covid-19 in October 2020 became so worrying  that there was talk of putting him on a ventilator. According to the report, when Trump was flown to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, he not only had trouble breathing, but had received supplemental oxygen. The former President's physician, Dr. Sean Conley, dodged talking much on the issue at the time, saying Trump "is not on oxygen right now." When he was asked if Trump had received oxygen at all, Dr. Conley would not directly answer, saying, "He has not needed any this morning, today at all." Pope Francis’ Personal Doctor Dies From COVID-19

Fabrizio Soccorsi, the personal doctor of Pope Francis has died from COVID-19 complications. Catholic News Agency reported that the 78-year-old physician was admitted to Rome’s Gemelli Hospital for a previous health issue on December 26.  While he was dealing with an “oncological pathology,” COVID was the cause of death, the Vatican’s newspaper L’Osservatore Romano reported. In August 2015, Pope Francis named him his personal physician after not renewing the term of papal doctor Patrizio Polisca, who was also head of the Vatican’s healthcare services. A Kentucky physician has been arrested and charged after strangling and injuring a black teenage girl for not observing social distancing during an altercation on Friday. The video of the incident, which shows the doctor and another white woman getting physical with a group of teenagers, was shared on Reddit. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Thursday in an FCT High Court, Maitama, opened its case against Dr Fortune Fiberesima, former President Goodluck Jonathan’s chief physician. Fiberesima was alleged to have abused his position as the chief physician to the former president in 2012 in awarding contracts valued at N258.9 million and N36.9 million to companies where he had interests. He was arraigned on a six- count charge bordering on abuse of office by influencing the award of contracts to companies where he had interest. EFCC said the offences were contrary and punishable under Section 19 of the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act, 2000.
