Cascarino wants Salah to learn the lessons of former Arsenal stars Alexis Sánchez, Mesut Özil, and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and ex-Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard all of whom were able to sign massive contracts but none ended up as key players at clubs that were consistently winning things. Salah’s current contract expires in the summer of 2023 and the Egyptian is yet to agree on a fresh deal. Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa had told Sky Sports before the game he had seven defenders missing, and their absences showed as Arsenal overran their hosts in the first half. Defences on top as Arsenal held by Brighton

Arsenal’s three-game winning run came to an end at Brighton as the teams played out a 0-0 draw in wet and windy conditions at The Amex. In a game that produced 29 shots, 21 of those from Brighton, both teams were guilty of lacking a clinical final finish as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang hit the post for the Gunners and Shane Duffy squandered the hosts' best chance late on. It means it was another clean sheet for the Arsenal defensive axis of Aaron Ramsdale, Gabriel Magalhaes and Ben White, who have only conceded one goal in their last four Premier League games. Ramsdale had to be at his best in the final 10 minutes, making three saves to help his team to a gritty point.
