Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has backed the Manchester United attacker to win the Ballon d’Or this year. Mendes believes his client has proven beyond doubt that he is the greatest player in history and should be awarded the 2021 Ballon d’ Or. Ronaldo has won the prestigious prize five times in his career and will go level with Paris Saint-Germain forward Lionel Messi’s record tally should he come out on top at next month’s ceremony in Paris, France. The Portugal captain was included in the 30-man shortlist for the 2021 Ballon d’ Or last week. The 36-year-old will rival Messi, Chelsea’s Jorginho, Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski, Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema among others for the Ballon d’Or this year. “The numbers do the talking and they should be enough,” Mend...

Real Madrid have reserved Zinedine Zidane’s iconic No 5 shirt for Kylian Mbappe, according to AS.
