Unknown gunmen have abducted an unspecified number of students of Abia State University Uturu, ABSU. The students were abducted from a commercial bus while returning from Okigwe in Imo state to Uturu around 8:00pm on Wednesday night, May 5, Confirming the incident, the Abia state Commissioner of Information, John Okiyi Kalu, says a preliminary investigation shows that the armed men marched the students into the forest with other abducted travelers. Ghana has announced plans to deport Nigerians who are in the country illegally. Out of 507 illegal immigrants arrested in Ghana, 494 are Nigerians, David Fianko-Okyere, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) and spokesperson for the Regional Police Command, said in an interview with the Ghana News Agency in Bolgatanga. The police spokesperson said the region had implemented a new strategy which included a 24-hour robust patrol on highways and swoops, especially in the Bolgatanga Township. Lori Harvey has pleaded not guilty in her hit and run case. According to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, Harvey, 23,  entered the not guilty plea today in an LA County Courtroom. After entering the plea, Lori was ordered back to court next month for a preliminary hearing. This comes days after she was charged with two misdemeanors including one count of resisting, delaying, obstructing a peace officer and one count of hit and run resulting in property damage in relation to the incident.
