Nasser Hussein lays into England’s peculiar batting approach after New Zealand collapse

Nasser Hussain has lambasted England’s batsmen for abandoning conventional methods after a shocking collapse at Edgbaston left them on the verge of defeat to New Zealand. Joe Root's side crumpled to 76-7 before tailenders Mark Wood and Olly Stone at least prevented an innings defeat, but they look destined to lose the match and the series when play resumes on Sunday. Sky Sports pundit Hussain insists English batsmen urgently need to re-examine their techniques and return to basics - not only at Test level, but throughout the county game - if they are to improve in future. "There seems to have been a reinvention of the wheel out there with batting," said Hussain. "Techniques out there that everyone else who has played the game before - they are all wrong and we are right. ...

”I was raped by my pastor when I went for deliverance”- Nigerian lady says she has been raped several times and even attempted suicide; shares her heartbreaking story

A Nigerian lady has come out to share her heartbreaking story of surviving rape several times which she said started from her childhood. Dorothy Edet while speaking with newsmen during the funeral of Iniobong Umoren, the jobseeker who was raped in Akwa Ibom, recounted how she has been raped by close relatives, strangers as well as people she went to sell her wares to when she was a child. In her words ''My name is Dorothy Edet. I am actually a survivor of rape. I understand what it means. When people talk about rape, I also want to air out my voice. At the age of seven, I was gang raped. Dressing has nothing to do with rape. What a woman wears cannot even push somebody to rape a woman. At the age of 10, I remember my Uncle telling my mum he is going to send me to school and t...

Terrified Man left Dangling 330ft above ground as Glass Bridge Shatters

A glass bridge shattered while a man was walking on it and he had to hold on to the side of the bridge for his life. The walkway located in the Piyan Mountain in the city of Longjing, China, was blown to pieces in howling 90 mile per hour winds. The glass beneath the male tourist's feet immediately gave way and he nearly fell. The structure was built with glass panels stretching across the length of the walkway, giving pedestrians a heart-stopping view of the scenes below. However, the glass panels flew off the bridge in high winds while the man was halfway across the crossing. It took emergency services to rescue him from the spot where he was hanging 330ft above ground. The Straits Times reports: "Under the joint rescue efforts of firefighters, police, and f...

Man City vs Chelsea: Guardiola Reacts to Aguero’s Penalty Miss at Etihad

Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola  has reacted to Sergio Aguero’s shocking penalty miss during Manchester City’s 2-1 defeat to Chelsea at the Etihad on Saturday. Man City took the lead through Raheem Sterling in the first half and Aguero shockingly missed the opportunity to give the home side a 2-0 lead before the half time whistle. The Argentine attempted a Panenka penalty but the chipped effort lacked conviction and was comfortably saved by Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy. Chelsea came back very strong in the second, putting up an impressive display that gave them 2 goals from Hakim Ziyech and Marcos Alonso. With the win, the Blues delayed Manchester City’s Premier League title celebrations and also gave the west London outfit a psychological advantage ahead of the Cha...

Champions League: Chelsea Facing one Problem ahead of Real Madrid Second leg – Wenger

Legendary Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has said Chelsea face a “psychological problem” ahead of their Champions League semi-final second leg against Real Madrid. Karim Benzema cancelled out Christian Pulisic solo effort, to leave the tie evenly poised at 1-1. Ahead of the crucial decider at Stamford Bridge next week, Wenger believes Thomas Tuchel needs every player to stick to a strict game plan. “What is interesting in the Champions League is that you always have in the second game a psychological problem to sort out. “If you’re the manager of Chelsea now you go home tonight and you have to convince your players to adopt a strategy in the second game. “So I say, will you try to get 0-0 or will you try to win the game,” Wenger told beIN Sports.

Man City Left To Question Priorities For Crystal Palace Visit

Manchester City’s quest for an unprecedented quadruple leaves Pep Guardiola with a perilous balancing act for Sunday’s trip to a Crystal Palace side that know how to shock the Premier League champions. Last season, Palace ended City’s record 18-game winning run last season but Guardiola’s team still amassed 100 points as they cruised to the title. In a much tighter title race this season, with City just behind Liverpool, the Eagles’ 3-2 win at the Etihad in December could yet be the game that costs Guardiola’s men. A visit to Selhurst Park would therefore be a tricky fixture for City at the best of times, but the timing, between the two legs of a Champions League quarter-final against Tottenham, adds an extra layer of difficulty. Moreover, City’s 1-0 defeat in the first leg...

Scientists Reveal How you can Tell if your Girlfriend is a Cheat simply by Checking Her Fingers

Scientists have revealed that a woman's fingers can tell if she's a cheat or if she's likely to become one. A new study has shown that women with long index fingers on their left hands are more likely to have affairs. The findings have surprised scientists as having a longer index finger is associated with having more typical female characteristics. The longer index finger and shorter ring finger have been linked to being exposed to higher levels of female sex hormones in the womb. It was assumed that women who were "more feminised" would be more likely to be satisfied with their romantic relationships, and to be less impulsive, Daily Mail reports. But the findings of the recent study proved this to be wrong. Being more exposed to the sex hormone oestrogen in the womb leads to ...

Read what Olumide wrote below I was driving along Mararaba-Nyanya road this morning. These cognitive and behavioural problems, he said, could lead to a poor academic performance in school. A report by the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry observed that children of alcoholics generally experience psychological effects as a result of parental alcohol abuse, which could be physical or sexual. Some genetic studies have also shown that such an addiction tends to run in families and that there is genetic vulnerability ...
