The Nigerian Communications Commission said that its attention has been drawn to several media publications to the effect that the commission will require Nigerians to submit the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) of their phones to it from July, 2021. The National Examinations Council (NECO) has rescheduled the 2021 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) into Federal Unity Colleges from May 29 to June 5. The body announced the change in date in a statement released by Mr Azeez Sani, NECO Head of Information and Public Relations Division in Abuja today Wednesday, May 19. In the statement, Sani enjoined candidates, parents, guardians and relevant stakeholders to take note of the new date for the examination. He said that registration of candidates would continue until the new date of the examination while advising candidates, parents and guardians to download the new Examination Time Table from the Council’s website: www.neco.gov.ng. The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has arrested no fewer than five suspects for allegedly engaging in fraudulent registration and sale of Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) cards. The Director Public Affairs, NCC, Dr Ikechukwu Adinde, in a statement on Thursday in Abuja, said the arrest was part of the commission’s routine enforcement activities to rid the industry of criminal elements. No fewer than 31 persons, including children sustained various degrees of injuries in an accident involving a luxury bus opposite Nasfat around Mowe on Lagos-Ibadan expressway on Saturday.
