159 die, 1,572 persons injured in FCT road accidents in 2021

The Federal Road Safety Corps has confirmed that a total of 850 road traffic crashes were recorded in the FCT resulting in 159 deaths and 1,572 injuries between January and November this year. Oga Ochi, the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps in the FCT, disclosed this at the 2021 Special Marshal Sectorial Workshop on Saturday in Abuja. He pointed out speed limit as one of the major challenges confronting road use in the FCT owing to the number of good roads within the territory.
