28-year-old Nigerian man arrested for selling drugs in Thailand

A 28-year-old Nigerian national identified simply as George has been arrested for peddling drugs in Bangkok, Thailand. Speaking during a press briefing at immigration HQ in Suan Phlu, Bangkok on Friday, October 8, the immigration chief said that Region 1 officers were told by an informant that a black man was dealing drugs in the downtown area. According to the immigration, the suspect was using WhatsApp to communicate with his customers. A sting was set up for the late evening of October 5th with the informant arranging to buy drugs by meeting in the toilets of a mall in the Bang Rak, Silom area of downtown Bangkok. Bandits kill 4 vigilantes in Kaduna

Four vigilantes were reportedly killed by armed bandits in Rafin Tukurwa village, close to Dogon Dawa in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Tuesday afternoon, May 11. Daily Trust reported that the vigilantes were ambushed by 2pm while on their way to Rafin Tukurwa after receiving a distress call from the villagers that bandits had attacked the area to rustle cows. Bandits Kill two More Abducted Greenfield University Students

Suspected bandits have killed two more abducted Greenfield University students. The state's Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan disclosed this today April 26. He said the university has been informed of the development. He however did not disclose the identities of the killed students. The incident comes days after three of the students were killed by the bandits. Man Stranded in his Car after it Got Stuck in Flood Following Heavy rain in Lagos

A driver was stranded in his car after it got stuck in the flood as it rained in Lagos on Thursday, April 22. The man couldn't leave his car for fear he would drown and the water level kept rising around his car. Media personality, Benjamin Okoh shared a video from the scene and called on the state government to hurry to the man's aid. In the video, passersby are seen standing at a safe distance to watch the driver struggle at Eniola Davies Street,  Fagba, Oko-Oba. Fortunately, residents succeeded in pulling the man to safety. Policemen in Rukungiri District, Uganda, have arrested a man in connection with the murder of a High School student, Brenda Ankunda. Ankunda was killed a day to her last Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) examination. The suspect, said to be in his 20s, was reported to be in a relationship with the deceased. Police picked the suspect from an electronics shop near Rwenshama stage in Rukungiri Municipality on Monday, April 12. Medical Doctor and Nurse Abducted in Ogun

Unidentified gunmen have abducted Oladunni Odetola, a medical doctor, and Mrs. Bamgbose, a nurse, while traveling on Abeokuta-Imeko road, Ogun state on Wednesday night, April 7. Odetola who heads the General Hospital in Imeko, headquarters of Imeko-Afon LGA, was traveling with the nurse when they were ambushed and whisked away by the gunmen at Olubo village. Their vehicle, a Toyota Camry (Muscle) with registration number, KTU 584 FR, was left in the middle of the road, where it was discovered by the police. Police retrieved the doctor’s NMA card and a minute of the association’s meeting. Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, said police detectives are currently on the trail of the kidnappers.
