We reported that Mr Ndubuaku, chairman of the Recovery of Government Properties, was allegedly assaulted at Okorocha’s residence. The former governor, in a statement on Friday by his media aide, Sam Onwuemeodo, said the arrest order was an “open invitation to anarchy or fracas in the state.” He said: “The arrest order is an open invitation to anarchy or fracas in the state because Imo people will always come out to defend Okorocha. How could Governor Emeka Ihedioha spend N2.8b on sanitation? What was it used for? Okorocha’s problem is that he is so used to lies that he no longer knows the difference between lies...

“Ihedioha Bent On Destroying My Landmark Projects” – Okorocha

Immediate past governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, has said that his successor, Emeka Ihedioha, is bent on destroying his landmark projects. Okorocha said this on Thursday in reaction to the conversion of his Eastern Palm University to a campus of the Imo State University (IMSU) by the state government. Senator Okorocha insisted that the action further exposes the sinister plot against him and his family by Ihedioha. Part of a statement by Okorocha’s media adviser, Sam Onwuemeodo, said: “Prof. Njoku’s action only showed the speed and zeal with which the government of the day wants to destroy all the landmark projects of the APC government in the State which Senator Okorocha had headed.” The statement said Okorocha had always insisted that the Eastern Palm University was...

Senator Rochas Okorocha has said that the immediate past Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, has been so overwhelmed by the three Ministries left under his care that he has started having grey hair at 56. Okorocha, a former governor of Imo State, said this when he spoke at the screening of Fashola in the senate chamber. According to Okorocha, the former minister had grown grey hair because of the enormous work of overseeing the three ministries. “The three ministries are too large for one person. Look at my friend; he now has grey hair,” Okorocha said. Alongside Fashola, those scheduled for screening today July 29th include Rauf Aregbesola (Osun), Geoffrey Onyema (Enugu), Gbemisola Saraki (Kwara), Maryam Katagum (Bauchi), Muhammadu Mahmoud (Kaduna State), Clem...

Ihedioha Begins Removal Of Okorocha’s Overhead Iron Bars And Trees In Owerri

Governor of Imo State, Emeka Ihedioha, has commenced removal of the iron bars which former governor Rochas Okorocha placed across the major streets of Owerri. Okorocha who is now the Senator representing Imo West constituency, used the iron bars and artificial palm trees to beautify the state capital. But Ihedioha seems to want the state capital to look different so his administration has embarked on the removal of all the iron bars across streets in the state capital. The trees are also going down one after the other. Massmediang gathered that this action by Ihedioha is coming with mixed feelings among Imo people as some of them are happy with the action while others feel that this is tax payers’ money being wasted. Some feel that Ihedioha should face more important projects whil...

Okorocha Calls For Creation Of Happiness Ministry To Tackle Suicide

Rochas Okorocha, senator representing Imo west, says a happiness ministry should be created to tackle suicide and rape cases. Okorocha said this on Tuesday while contributing to a debate on a motion sponsored by Theodore Orji, senator representing Abia central. Orji’s motion was on the “rising incidence of suicides amongst Nigerians.” Okorocha, an immediate past governor of Imo state, argued that a lot of people take their own lives because they lack the ability to express themselves or to share their feelings with anyone. “Mr senate president, may I suggest that whether it’s the issue of rape, suicide, let us create a department to address these issues,” he said. “Ministry of health is not up to that, Police is not equipped for that, ministry of information is not equip...
