Chelsea are unbeaten in 14 games under Tuchel, moving up to fourth place in the EPL table and into the quarter-finals of the Champions League and the semi-finals of the FA Cup. However, Tuchel’s appointment has been particularly beneficial for Jorginho, who has become a key starter under the German, having been a bit-part player under Lampard. “The coach wants us having control of the game, playing from behind, even when the pressure comes,” Jorginho told ...

Jurgen Klopp’s agent reacts to rumors of his exit from Liverpool despite winning Champions League and Premier league

Despite winning the UEFA Champions league and English premier league in the last two seasons, there have been reports that Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp could be sacked at the end of the season, but his agent has now come out to address those rumors. Klopp has delivered Liverpool's sixth European Cup and first Premier League crown during his five-year reign, but a disastrous premier league title defence in 2020-21 has seen the Reds drop to sixth in the table, leading to question marks over the German's future. His agent Marc Kosicke has now come out to rule out the possibility of him departing the club this summer. “He's not finished with his work in Liverpool,” Klopp's agent told Sport1. “There is no back door open because Jurgen still has a three-year contract with the Red...

Robinho Gets 9-year Jail Term Over Role in Gang Rape

Former Manchester City and Real Madrid star, Robinho, has been sentenced to nine years in prison for his role in a gang rape in 2013. The Brazilian was accused of raping a woman in her 20s at an Italian nightclub eight years ago. The 37-year-old was originally found guilty in 2017 before he was sentenced in December of last year. Robinho chose to appeal the verdict, which has now been upheld in Milan’s Court of Appeal. However, according to Globo, new details have since emerged in the Court of Appeal, alleging that the former AC Milan star and his representatives ‘attempted to deceive investigators’ by providing different accounts on ‘previously agreed facts’. The Court of Appeal added that the footballer ‘belittled’ and ‘brutally humiliated’ the woman. Robinho’s team...

I’ll Continue my Job Calmly – Pirlo Plays Down Sack Calls after Juve Loss

Juventus boss, Andrea Pirlo has responded to the speculations that he might be sacked after a disappointing Champions League result on Tuesday night. The call for Pirlo’s sack grew in Italy on Tuesday after Juventus failed to take advantage of Porto being reduced to 10 men in the early minutes of the second half of the game. Porto had Mehdi Taremi sent off in the 54th minute after a second yellow card for kicking the ball away in frustration. Porto made it to the quarter-finals after a dramatic match that went to extra time. The Portuguese side opened scoring after 19 minutes with Sergio Oliveira firing in from the spot. Federico Chiesa equalised for the home side 4 minutes into the second half with a curling shot from a tight angle down the left flank. The ...

EPL: Thomas Tuchel Agrees With Mourinho Over Comments on Chelsea Job

Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel has agreed with Tottenham Hotspur manager, Jose Mourinho, over his comments about the Blues job. Mourinho had claimed that coaching in the Premier League with Chelsea is not comparable to working at Paris Saint-Germain. Tuchel spent two-and-a-half years at PSG during which he won two Ligue 1 titles, twice claimed two Trophee des Champions, and the Coupe de France and Coupe de la Ligue. The German also guided PSG to last season’s Champions League final, where they were defeated by champions Bayern Munich. The 47-year-old was sacked last month, with Mauricio Pochettino replacing him at PSG. However, less than a month after his departure from PSG, Tuchel was named Chelsea’s new head coach following ...

Chelsea to Continue Paying Frank Lampard Until End of Season

Former Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard, will continue to be paid by the club until the end of this season, SportsMail reports. The Blues have spent over £110million in pay-offs to sacked coaches during the Roman Abramovich era. However, they are now moving towards heavily incentivised, performance-related contracts, to minimise future compensation payments. So, the club’s decision to fire Lampard last week, will not significantly add to the £110m bill, because his three-year deal contained a break clause after two years. Therefore, they will only have to continue paying the 42-year-old until the end of this season. His replacement, Thomas Tuchel, has been given an 18-month contract.
