Formula One car racing champion, Lewis Hamilton has criticized the Catholic church after the Vatican refused to bless same-sex marriages. Hamilton, a self professed Catholic, shared his opinion after Elton John's condemnation of the church's decision, which was announced this week. Grammy award winning singer, Elton John wrote: "How can the Vatican refuse to bless gay marriages because they 'are sin', yet happily make a profit from investing millions in 'Rocketman' - a film which celebrates my finding happiness from my marriage to David?? #hypocrisy." Angola Decriminalises Same-Sex Sexual Relationships

A new law decriminalising same-sex sexual relations in Angola has gone into effect on Wednesday. According to reports, the new law overturned a colonial-era ban on homosexual relations which described it as "vice against nature”. Activist Jean-Luc Romero-Michel tweeted, "The law decriminalising homosexuality adopted in Angola in 2019 took effect today. Discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation is now reprehensible and even punishable by prison." Two women have made history as the first same-sex couple to get married in Northern Ireland. The couple, Robyn Peoples, 26, and Sharni Edwards, 27, got married at a ceremony in a hotel in Carrickfergus, County Antrim, on Tuesday afternoon. Northern Ireland has announced that same-sex marriage is now legal after an October 2019 Westminster bill changed the law.   The law comes into force today (Monday 13 January) with same-sex couples now allowed to register to marry in the country, and those who are already married will have their union recognised by law.   The first same-sex weddings are expected to take place in February as couples have to indicate their intention to marry 28 days before getting married.   The new law brings Northern Ireland into line with the rest of the UK including England, Scotland and Wales who all made same-sex marriages legal since 2014.   Speaking to BBC News NI, Mr McGinn said 'everyone who values equality, love and respect can celebrate today'. &...

3 gay men arrested following a dispute over payment in Katsina

A 45-year-old man identified as Aminu Mai Unguwa Tsanni, from Tsanni village, Batagarawa LGA of Katsina State, has been arrested for allegedly having sex with two men in a Katsina hotel. 21st March, 2014 : A federal judge has overturned the US state of Michigan's gay marriage ban. Following the ruling, many local officials announced they would be giving out marriage licenses to same-sex couples. The state of Michigan said that it would appeal against the decision.
