A couple has been abducted at Ukya Sabo community in Toto local government area of Nasarawa state. An eyewitness identified simply as Samuel, told Daily Trust that Yohana Isheme and his wife, Noami Yohana were abducted around 1am on Saturday July 11. He said the kidnappers who invaded the community in large numbers with sophisticated weapons, positioned themselves at strategic places within the community before other gangs scaled the fence of the victims’ house. Plans to scrap the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) have been dropped by the House of Representatives. Recall that a bill sponsored by lawmaker, Awaji-Inombek Abiante which proposed scrapping of the NYSC had drawn mixed reaction after it scaled a second reading. Kidnapped Ekiti Monarch Regains Freedom after 5 Days

Kidnapped Traditional Ruler of Ilemeso in Ekiti State, David Oyewunmi has regained freedom after spending five days in captivity. LIB reported earlier that Oyewunmi was kidnapped on April 16 at his palace after gunmen scaled the fence of the palace. Ekiti police spokesperson, Sunday Abutu who confirmed that the monarch has been released added that he is currently receiving medical attention at a health facility within the state following the trauma he experienced at the hands of the kidnappers. Channels Television reported that Abutu linked the release of the monarch to a combined effort of the police and local security outfits in the state.

The Police Service Commission (PSC) said it has shortlisted 80,724 from its screening exercise conducted for applicants who applied nationwide for the position of Constable in the Nigeria Police Force, a report by TheNation has revealed. Those who scaled through the screening process are scheduled to sit for an aptitude test on the 3rd of August, 2019 across the country. The Malian immigrant, who scaled an apartment building in Paris to save the life of a dangling 4-year-old, has met with French President Emmanuel Macron and he's been rewarded for his brave act. Mamoudou Gassama, a 22-year-old undocumented immigrant, has been dubbed "Le Spiderman" because of how fast he scaled the building to get to the child.
