10 dogs belonging to the proprietor of Global Growth Academy, Amokpo, Umuanunwa, Nteje in the Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State, have devoured a 2-year-old pupil. The proprietor of the school, Chinedu Okaa, is said to be a UK returnee. Despite knowing that rearing of dogs is prohibited in the community, Okaa went ahead to keep dogs following his return to the country. A staff of Chimola School in Akure, Ondo State who was whisked away after gunmen hijacked a bus belonging to the school on Thursday morning has been freed. Omolayo Ojo who spoke to newsmen said she obeyed the instructions of the gunmen who threatened to harm her if she did not cooperate with them, and was released when they said she was innocent. Some Niger Schools Have not Seen Paints in 40 Years – Governor Bello

Governor Abubakar Bello has disclosed that some schools in Niger state he governs have not been painted in the last 40 years. The Governor who addressed newsmen on effort made to secure the release of abducted students and members of staff of Government Science College, Kagara, made the disclosure when queried on the deteoriated state of the school where the abduction took place.
