IPOB Regalia: Nollywood veteran actor, Chiwetalu Agu re-arrested by DSS after his release by Nigerian Army

The Actors Guild of Nigeria has confirmed that Nollywood veteran actor, Chiwetalu Agu, has been re-arrested by men of the Department of State Services. AGN President, Emeka Rollas, disclosed this in a telephone chat with Punch on Friday night. According to him, the actor was arrested by the secret police shortly after he was released by the Nigerian Army on Friday afternoon. October 8. 39-year-old former children's TV presenter, Paul 'Des' Ballard has been jailed after being found guilty in July of raping a lady in a hotel room. He reportedly attacked the woman in a hotel room in Hatfield Heath, Essex, on September 19 last year. His terrified victim managed to escape the room and informed a member of staff about the attack who called the police. Ballard denied raping and threatening the victim, claiming that they had consensual sex. Justice Mahmud Abdulgafar of the Kwara State High Court, Ilorin, on Thursday, September 30, sentenced an Ilorin-based Alfa Jamiu Isiaka to 28 years imprisonment for an oil contract scam. The cleric was arraigned for fraud and obtaining by false pretence. The offences were contrary to Section 1(1) (a) of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Fraud Related Offences Act, 2006. The judge held that the prosecution tendered enough evidence to prove that Jamiu was guilty of the allegations.
