Amotekun Seizes Another 300 Cows In Ondo

There was heavy vehicular traffic along the Oyemekun-Oba Adesida road up to Alagbaka on Tuesday morning as men of the Ondo Amotekun Corps conveyed 300 seized cows to their headquarters. More than 100 cows were earlier seized on Sunday along the Akure-Ilesha highway for flouting the State government directives on open grazing and use of underage herders. The 300 cows were said to have been seized along the Ilesha highway. When contacted, Commander of the Ondo Amotekun Corps, Chief Adetunji Adeleye, said he was in an operational area but promised to call back. He was yet to call as at press time.

The Federal Operations Unit, Zone ‘C’ of the Nigeria Customs Service in Owerri, Imo State, has intercepted and seized a truck allegedly carrying illegal and dangerous items whose Duty Paid Value was put at N9,620,000. Briefing newsmen at the zone C headquarters, the Customs Area Controller, Kayode Olusemire, said the truck which had no registration number, could only be identified with an inscription on it which read “Gini Ka Chukwu,” . NDLEA Arrests 42 Drug Dealers, Seizes 700 Kgs Illicit Drugs In Nasarawa

The Nasarawa State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) arrested 42 suspected drug traffickers and seized 700 kilogrammes of illicit drugs between July 2016 and June 2017. Its Commander, Mr Ethan Sumaila, who disclosed this, on Tuesday, in Lafia, identified cannabis sativa and Indian hemp as the commonest illicit drugs in the state.
