A 17-year-old boy identified as Babatunde Abdulrahmon has died after he was injured on the day he resumed work at a manufacturing company in Satellite Town, Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State. It was gathered that the teenager sustained severe injuries on his body after he was sucked into a mixing machine. According to PUNCH , Abdulrahmon had on Wednesday, May 12, gone to Mingyi Trading Company Limited in search of work. At least three children, a teacher and a school assistant have been killed after a teenager burst into a daycare centre and attacked the people inside with a machete. Kano State Govt Shuts Down a Hospital for Handling Severe COVID19 Cases

The Kano state government have shut down the UMC Hospital in the state after it was discovered that the hospital management was attending to “severe cases” of COVID-19 instead of referring the patients to isolation centres provided by the state government. The state Commissioner for Information, Muhammad Garba, disclosed this in a statement. He said investigations showed that the hospital went contrary to the directive of the government and was treating COVID19 cases in their facility. A pathologist, Dr S.S. Soyele, told an Ikeja High Court on Tuesday that Ronke Shonde, the banker allegedly murdered by her dockworker husband, Lekan Shonde had suffered severe brain injuries which led to her death. Soyele is a Medical Pathologist at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja. He revealed the results of a post-mortem examination, conducted on Ronke, while being led in evidence by Mr Y.
