Police Arrest 15 In Kaduna For ‘Killing 706 Cows, 75 Sheep’

Fifteen suspects have been arrested by the Police in Kaduna State for allegedly killing 706 cows and 75 sheep in Atiyap chiefdom of Zangon Kataf Local Government Area (LGA), Kaduna State. The suspects are said to have dumped the animals in a ditch after the carnage. The Police Public Relations Officer in the State, ASP Muhammad Jalige, in a statement, expressed concerns about the nature of the crime which he said was “perpetrated by agents of doom in their quest to set the State ablaze”. With barely four days after armed bandits invaded the Joint Security TaskForce Camp in Allawa in Shiroro local government area of Niger state, killing five Soldiers and a Mobile Policeman, the entire Allawa community has been sacked by gunmen. Photos of world’s most expensive sheep purchased for $490,000

A Benue father has been arrested after he killed his daughter to offer as a "sacrificial lamb" to God. The father, identified as John Depuun, allegedly snatched his infant daughter from his wife and took her to a bush in Mbangur, Tse-Agberagba, Konshisha LGA, Benue state, where he killed her. The father confessed to the killing, saying he did it as directed by God. He said: “It is my sheep and I decided to sacrifice it to God as demanded of me. Boko Haram Steals 200 Cows, 300 Sheep And Goats In Borno — NEMA

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) on Sunday said Boko Haram insurgents came on a robbery mission on Saturday night at Bale Shuwa village in Jere Local government of Borno state and made away with cows, sheep and goats. Alhaji Bashir Garga, NEMA’s Northeast Zonal Coordinator, made the disclosure in a statement in Maiduguri. Garga said: “Suspected Boko Haram insurgents attacked Bale-Shuwa village in Jere Local Government Area at about 7:30 pm on Saturday. “One disabled person was allegedly killed and 65 houses were burnt, while 200 cows, 300 sheep and goats were carted away”.
