Manchester United interim manager, Ralf Rangnick, has told goalkeeper Dean Henderson that he will not leave Old Trafford this season, MEN reports. Henderson only signed an improved five-year contract in the summer. However, since then, he has failed to get regular game time and remains number two behind David De Gea. The 24-year-old has started two fixtures, one coming in the EFL Cup and the other being in a dead-rubber Champions League game. Several reports have linked Henderson with a move away, with Tottenham Hotspur known to be monitoring the situation. Nevertheless, the Manchester Evening News claims that Rangnick has already informed Henderson that he will be remaining with United. Sweden’s first female prime minister resigns less than 12 hours after being installed

Sweden’s first-ever female prime minister, Magdalena Andersson has dramatically resigned less than 12 hours after being installed over suffering a budget defeat in parliament and then losing her coalition partner in a two-party minority government. Ms. Andersson said a decision by the Green Party to quit the two-party coalition had forced her to resign but added that she had told the parliamentary speaker she hoped to be appointed prime minister again as the head of a single-party government. The Green Party said it would leave the government after the coalition’s budget bill was rejected by parliament. “For me, it is about respect, but I also do not want to lead a government where there may be grounds to question its legitimacy,” Ms Andersson told a news conference. In an interview with Premiumtimes, Kosoko stated that he is disappointed in some of the actions of President Buhari but can't say the President is totally bad. ''So many things are responsible for the situation we find ourselves. I can’t speak for the government but I can’t say Buhari (government) is totally bad. I’ve never said so, and I may not say so, but I am disappointed in some of his actions. Champions League: De Jong Speaks on Barcelona sacking Koeman after 3-0 defeat to Benfica

Barcelona star, Frenkie de Jong, has resisted calls for manager Ronald Koeman to be sacked after they suffered another embarrassing Champions League result on Wednesday night. Barcelona suffered back-to-back defeats after losing 3-0 to Benfica in Lisbon. The LaLiga giants had also lost to the same scoreline at home to Bayern Munich two weeks ago. The Catalan club are now facing the genuine possibility of exiting the Champions League at the group stage and pressure is mounting on under-fire Koeman. But De Jong does not believe sacking Koeman will solve anything. “I can’t talk about Koeman, it’s not for me. Champions League: Barcelona is in Critical Condition – Busquets

Barcelona midfielder, Sergio Busqets, has admitted the club’s situation is “critical”. This follows a 3-0 thrashing at Benfica in the Champions League on Wednesday night. It was the second successive time the Catalan club has lost by that margin in the competition. Two goals from Darwin Nunez sandwiched a Rafa Silva strike in Lisbon, as Benfica followed Bayern Munich in putting three goals past Ronald Koeman’s struggling side. It’s the first time Barca have suffered back-to-back defeats in the group stage of the Champions League since 2000 and they are in real danger of not making the knockout rounds for the first time in 21 years. “That’s the easiest thing in the world of football, but everyone has their share in the responsibility, [including] the players. ...

PSG defeated Man City in Paris, thanks to two goals from Idrissa Gueye and Lionel Messi. But Ferdinand believes that both Laporte, who failed to close down Kylian Mbappe’s cut-back pass, and Dias could have done more to prevent PSG’s first goal. “If you are Dias, you are screaming at Laporte, get out there now and close him [Kylian Mbappe] down quicker. “Because there are enough white shirts in the box to deal with that situation,” Ferdinand said on BT Sport. “The moment he stands and is in-between, the indecision is a domino effect and leaves everyone else to pick up the pieces.”...
