Two Policemen Injured in Yet Another Attack on a Police Station in Imo

Two police officers are currently nursing their injuries they sustained after gunmen attacked the Mbieri divisional police headquarters on Wednesday night, April 7. Confirming the attack, the spokesperson of the state police command, Orlando Ikeokwu, said the gunmen stormed the police headquarters at about 10pm but the attack was successfully repelled by the police. He added that the two officers who sustained injuries during the attack are currently receiving treatment in an undisclosed hospital. COVID19: Lagos State Government bans Indoor Gatherings of More than 50 Persons

As part of measures to contain the second wave of the COVID19 pandemic in the state, the Lagos state government has banned indoor gatherings of more than 50 persons. Lagos State Government Lifts ban on Religious Activities, Worship services to Commence June 19

The Lagos state government has lifted the ban on religious gatherings in the state. The ban was implemented as part of measures to contain the spread of the novel Coronavirus in the state. NCDC Driver Tests Positive for COVID-19 in Nasarawa

A driver with the Nigeria Center for Disease Control NCDC has tested positive for the novel Coronavirus in Nasarawa state. The state governor, Abdullahi Sule, disclosed this during an expanded state security meeting in Lafia, the state capital today May 5th. Heavy downpour in the early hours of Sunday prevented teeming Muslim faithful in Bauchi metropolis from performing congregation prayers marking the end of Ramadan Fast. The rainfall, which started at about 8 am, lasted about two hours, taking worshipers that had already arrived at open prayer grounds, by surprise.
