Boko Haram Kills 2 Policemen and 1 CJTF Member as Service Chiefs Visit Maiduguri

A military base and a police check-point in Borno State were reportedly attacked by Boko Haram insurgents on Sunday January 31, same day the newly appointed service chiefs arrived Maiduguri on an operational visit. Daily Trust reported that two policemen and one member of Civilian Joint Task Force were killed during the attack which occurred at the checkpoint along Maiduguri / Gubio highway by 12:30pm on Sunday. A security source said the insurgents burnt one utility vehicle and made away with another after they displaced the security personnel stationed at the joint checkpoint. Stray bullet allegedly kills trader in Enugu as security operatives disperse residents attempting to break into school to loot COVID-19 palliatives

The looting of COVID-19 palliatives turned tragic in Enugu on Saturday, October 23 after a stray bullet allegedly fired by security operatives hit and killed a young man who sells fuel.   It was gathered that after news spread that COVID-19 palliatives were housed at Queen's Secondary school located inside WTC estate, residents stormed there in attempt to loot food items.   Security operatives stationed at the school reportedly fired shots to disperse the crowd. Soldiers take over scene of planned #EndSARS protest in Abuja

Soldiers have reportedly taken over the scene of the planned #EndSARS protest in Abuja.   Some soldiers were spotted at popular Aya roundabout early Monday morning with a roadblock and barricade. There were also police officers stationed in front of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) headquarters with Armoured Personnel Carrier and water cannons.   This is coming after Nigerian army's spokesperson, Sagir Musa denied claims of the recently launched  ‘Operation Crocodile Smile’  being targeted at #EndSARS protesters.   Here are photos below;

Mentally Unstable Lady Delivers Baby Girl in Delta

A mentally unstable lady delivered a baby girl in Warri, Delta State today, February 18th. The lady who is usually stationed at the 1st Marine Gate off Gbiaye Street in Warri South Local Government Area, welcomed her child in the early hours of today. Popularly known as “Calabar,” the lady is said to be an indigine of Akwa Ibom State. Residents say men usually sneak in at night to take turns to sleep with the woman. They say even while she was pregnant, some men would come in at night to also have sex with her. A senior female police officer, who lives in the neighbourhood, has taken custody of the baby pending when officials of the state Ministry of Women Affairs come for the baby.

Boko Haram Terrorist ‘Pepper’ Arrested By Soldiers

On Sunday 14th May 2017, troops of 233 Battalion, 27 Task Force Brigade, Nigerian Army, stationed at Forward Operation Base Potiskum in conjunction with vigilantes, arrested a suspected notorious Boko Haram terrorist, Abubakar Adamu, aged 35 years, popularly called "Pepper" around New Prison area, Potiskum, Potiskum Local Government Area (LGA) of Yobe State. Preliminary investigation shows that the suspected terrorist hailed from Yerimara village, Potiskum LGA and that he has participated in carrying out attacks and other terrorists activities in the north east. Investigation is still ongoing. In a related development, combined troops of 231 and 331 Battalions foiled an armed robbery attempt at Chanchara village, Shani LGA.
