The Imo state police command has arrested IPOB and Eastern Security Network members who allegedly masterminded and carried out the attack on the Omuma Police station and Njaba Police Station respectively last week. Bandits Abduct Medical Worker in Sokoto

One of the victims abducted by bandits in Unguwar Lalle village, Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State have been identified as Garba Zolo, a medical worker. LIB reported that the gunmen attacked the village at about 2 p.m. on Thursday, killed two soldiers, wounded several others and abducted many people. A source, Musa Gobir, who spoke to Premium Times confirmed that the medical worker was among those abducted. Gunmen kill three policemen and two others in Anambra

Three policemen and two others have been killed by unknown gunmen in Eke-Agu community in Abatete, Idemili North Local government area of Anambra state. According to reports, the gunmen stormed the community in two highlander SUVs and one Sienna car on Tuesday night July 13, shooting sporadically while also setting three vehicles ablaze. The assailants abducted one unidentified young man from Uke after several shots fired at him 'failed to penetrate.' Gunmen suspected to be Fulani herders have killed a catechist identified as Sydney Shirsha and two others at Amudu village in Giza chiefdom, Keana Local Government Area of Nasarawa State. It was gathered that the suspected gunmen, who were armed with sophisticated weapons, stormed Amudu, a Tiv village in Giza Development Area, at midnight on Saturday, May 15. According to Daily Trust, several others sustained various degrees of gunshot injury during the attack. It was learnt that hundreds of locals had fled the area following the attack. The president of the Tiv Development Association (TIDA) in Nasarawa State, Comrade Peter Ahemba, who confirmed the incident, lamented constant attacks on his people.
